To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to provide for the remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee — D — TX

Authorizes the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to disseminate information to the public about vulnerabilities in the software and hardware of information systems. The bill also would authorize DHS to establish an award program to encourage independent researchers to identify and report vulnerabilities and solutions for those vulnerabilities to the department.
