To expand the number of scholarships available to Pakistani women under the Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program.
Sponsor: Rep. Hakeem Jeffries — D — NY
Requires the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to award at least half of its Pakistani Merit and Needs-Based Scholarships to women during each year of the 2020-2022 period. The bill also would require USAID to brief the Congress annually on whether it achieved that goal.
