A bill to direct the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to develop guidance for firefighters and other emergency response personnel on best practices to protect them from exposure to PFAS and to limit and prevent the release of PFAS into the environment, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Sen. Gary Peters — D — MI

Directs the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to develop and publish guidance for firefighters and other emergency responders for reducing exposure to PFAS. The guidance would include information on best practices, training, and education that FEMA would develop in consultation with scientists, firefighters, manufacturers, and staff at other federal agencies.
