A bill to improve efforts to identify and reduce Governmentwide improper payments, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Sen. Claire McCaskill — D — MO

The Payment Integrity Information Act would: (1) Require federal agencies to publish any improper payments larger than $10 million publicly with their annual financial statement, (2) mandate every agency to undertake a review of their improper payments at least once every three years, and (3) create a working group of members from across the federal government to study the issue further, consisting of the director of the Office of Management and Budget as well as representatives from 17 specific governmental agencies.
