Biography

Claire Mccaskill is a Senator from Missouri. Born in Rolla, MO, in 1953, she graduated from the University of Missouri in 1975 and earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri in 1978. She served in the Missouri State house of representatives from 1982-1988; and as the Jackson County prosecutor from 1992-1998. She was an unsuccessful candidate for governor in 2004; and was the Missouri State auditor from 1998-2006. In 2006, she was elected to the United States Senate.
