Biography

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a Representative from Florida. Born in Forest Hills, N.Y., in 1966, she earned her B.A. from the University of Florida in 1988 and her M.A. from the University of Florida in 1990. She served on staff for United States Representative Peter Deutsch of Florida from 1989-1992 and was a member of the Florida state house of representatives from 1992-2000 and a member of the Florida state senate from 2000-2004.

She was elected to the 109th and to the
succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2005-present).
