Biography

Donald J. Trump is President of the United States and is a Republican.

Trump is a native of New York City, born and raised in Queens. He his B.A. in economics from the Wharton School and ran the Trump Organization beginning in 1971. The real estate company built or renovated skyscrapers, casinos, hotels, and golf courses. Trump also licensed his name to other entities and co-authored books including "The Art of the Deal," along with owning the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015. From 2003-2015, he produced and starred in "The Apprentice."

President Trump has served since Jan 20, 2017. In 2019, he signed the "Bipartisan Budget Agreement," which raised statutory budget caps by roughly $320 billion. Trump is next up for reelection in 2020. You can track Donald Trump's spending at SpendingTracker.org.
