Biography

Elizabeth Esty is a Representative from Connecticut. Born in Oak Park, IL, in 1959, she earned her A.B. from Harvard University in 1981 and her J.D. from Yale University in 1985.

She was a law clerk, private practice lawyer, professor, and member of the Cheshire, CT, town council from 2005-2008. She served in the Connecticut state general assembly from 2008-2010.

She was elected to the 113th Congress and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2013-present).
