Erik Paulsen is a Representative from Minnesota. He was born in Bakersfield, California on May 14, 1965.
He received his B.A. from St. Olaf College in 1987.
He worked on the staff for United States Senator Rudy Boschwitz of Minnesota before becoming a member of the Minnesota state house of representatives from 1995-2008. During that time he served as majority leader from 2003-2007.
He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eleventh and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2009-present).
