Frederica Wilson is a Representative from Florida. Born in Miami, FL, in 1942, she earned her B.A. from Fisk University in 1963 and her M.A. from the University of Miami in 1972.
She was an elementary school principal and member of the Miami-Dade County school board. She served in the Florida state house of representatives from 1998-2002 and in the Florida state senate from 2002-2010.
She was elected to the 112th and to the
succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-present).
