Biography

Gregory Francis Murphy is a Representative from North Carolina, born in 1963. He graduated from Raleigh Broughton High School in Raleigh, N.C. and from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. He earned his M.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and is a urologic surgeon. A member of the North Carolina state house of representatives, he was elected as a Republican to the 116th Congress by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Representative Walter Jones, Jr.
