Isaac Newton Skelton IV (Ike) was a Representative from Missouri. Born in Lexington, MO, he earned his A.B. from the University of Missouri in 1953 and his LL.B. from the University of Missouri in 1956. He was a private practice lawyer and was Lafayette County, MO, prosecuting attorney from 1957-1960. He was special assistant attorney general to the Missouri state attorney general from 1961-1963 and a member of the Missouri state senate from 1971-1977. He was elected to the 95th and to the 16 succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1977-January 3, 2011). He was chair, Committee on Armed Services (110th and 111th Congresses) and unsuccessfully ran for reelection to the 112th Congress in 2010. He died on October 28, 2013.
