Gomez, Jimmy, a Representative from California; born in Fullerton, Orange County, Calif., November 25, 1974; graduated from Ramona High School, Riverside, Calif., 1993; attended Riverside Community College, Riverside, Calif., 1993-1996; B.A., University of California, Los Angeles, Calif., 1999; M.P.P., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 2003; staff, United States Representative Hilda Solis of California; director, United Nurses Association of California, 2009-2012; member of the California state assembly, 2012-2017; majority whip, 2012-2015; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifteenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Xavier Becerra, and reelected to the two succeeding Congresses (June 6, 2017-present).
