John Campbell was a Representative from California. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he earned his B.A. from the University of California and his M.B.T. from the University of Southern California in 1977. He was a certified public accountant and an auto dealer. He was a member of the California state assembly from 2000-2004 and a member of the California state senate from 2004-2005. He was elected to the 109th Congress by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Christopher Cox, and reelected to the four succeeding Congresses (December 6, 2005-January 3, 2015). He did not seek reelection to the 114th Congress in 2014.
