Biography

John Henry Rutherford is a Representative from Florida. Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1952, he attended Jacksonville Junior College and earned his B.S. from Florida State University in 1974. He worked as a police officer, the director of corrections for the city of Jacksonville, Florida sheriff's office from 1995-2003 and a sheriff for the city of Jacksonville, Florida from 2003-2015. He was elected as a Republican to the 115th Congress (January 3, 2017-present).
