Katherine M. Clark is a Representative from Massachusetts. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 17, 1963.
She received her B.A. from Saint Lawrence University in 1985, and her J.D. from Cornell University in 1989, and her M.P.A. from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 1997.
She worked as a lawyer for the Colorado district attorneys council, and general counsel for Massachusetts state office of child care services. She was prosecutor for the Office of the Attorney General in the State of
Colorado from 1991-1993, and was a member of the Melrose, Massachusetts school committee, from 2001-2007. She was a member of the Massachusetts state house of representatives from 2008-2010, and a member of the Massachusetts state senate, from 2010-2013.
She was elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Edward J. Markey, and to the two succeeding Congresses (December 10, 2013-present).
