Luke Messer is a Representative from Indiana. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on February, 27, 1969.
He received his B.A. from Wabash College, in 1991, and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1994. Afterwards he worked as a lawyer
He worked as a staffer to United States Representative John J. Duncan, Jr., of Tennessee in 1997, staff, and later worked for Ed Bryant of Tennessee in 1998.
He worked for United States House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform in 1999, and acted as executive director of the Indiana Republican Party from 2001-2005.
He was a member of the Indiana state house of representatives from 2003-2006, before becoming an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States House of Representatives in 2000, and again unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States House of Representatives in 2010.
He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Thirteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2013-present).
