Biography

Mark E. Amodei is a Representative from Nevada. He was born in Carson City, Nevada on June 12, 1958. He received his B.A. from the University of Nevada in 1980, and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific in 1983.

He served in the United States Army from 1984-1987. He was a member of the Nevada state assembly in 1997, and was a member of the Nevada state senate from 1999-2011.

He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Dean Heller, and reelected to the three succeeding Congresses (September 13, 2011-present).
