Biography

Michael (Mike) Thompson is a Representative from California. Born in St. Helena, CA, in 1951, he earned his B.A. from California State University in 1982 and his M.A. from California State University in 1996. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1972 and was a California state assembly fellow from 1982-1983. He was a member of the California state senate from 1990-1998, and elected to the 106th and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1999-present).
