Mo Brooks is a Representative from Alabama. Born in Charleston, SC, in 1954, he earned his B.A. from Duke University in 1975 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1978. He has been a private practice lawyer and Tuscaloosa County, AL, prosecutor from 1978-1980.
He was also a clerk to Circuit Court Judge John Snodgrass from 1980-1982 and a member of the Alabama house of representatives from 1982-1992. He served as Madison County, AL, district attorney from 1991-1993 and special assistant attorney general for the state of Alabama from 1995-2002. He served on the Madison County, AL, board of commissions from 1996-2010, and was elected to the 112th and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-present).
