Biography

Rashida Tlaib is a Representative from Michigan. Born in Detroit, MI, she earned her B.A. from Wayne State University in 1998 and her J.D. from Western Michigan University in 2004. She was a lawyer and on staff for the Michigan state house of representatives from 2007-2008. She was a member of the Michigan state house from 2009-2014 and elected to the 116th Congress (January 3, 2019-present).
