Richard Michael Nolan is a Representative from Minnesota. He was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on December 17, 1943.
He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1966. After college he pursued a career in business and education while teaching social studies in Royalton, Minnesota from 1968-1972.
He was a member of the Minnesota state house of representatives from 1969-1973, and was elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1981)
He became the president of U.S. Export Corporation from 1981-1986, and was later the president of the Minnesota World Trade Center from 1987-1994.
He was elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Thirteenth and to the succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-present).
