Scott Garrett was a Representative from New Jersey. He was born in Englewood, N.J. on July 9, 1959.
He received his B.A. from Montclair State University in 1981, and his J.D. from Rutgers University Law School in 1984.
He worked as a lawyer before becoming a member of the New Jersey state general assembly from 1990-2002.
He was elected as a Republican to the 108th and to the six succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2003-January 3, 2017).
