Theodore E. (Ted) Deutch was a Representative from Florida. Born in Bethlehem, PA, in 1966, he earned his A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1988 and his J.D. in 1990.
He was a private practice lawyer and a member of the Florida state senate from 2007-2010. He was elected to the 111th Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the
resignation of United States Representative Robert Wexler. He was reelected to the succeeding Congresses until his resignation (April 13, 2010-September 30, 2022).
