Robert (Bob) Corker is a Senator from Tennessee. Born in Orangeburg, SC, in 1952, he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in industrial management from the University of Tennessee in 1974. He was a commercial real estate developerr and construction company owner and ran unsuccessfully for the United States Senate in 1994. He served as commissioner for the Tennessee Finance and Administration Department from 1995-1996 and mayor of Chattanooga from 2001-2005. He was elected to the United States Senate in 2006. He chaired the Committee on Foreign Relations (114th Congress).
