Biography

Jefferson Beauregard III (Jeff) Sessions was a Senator from Alabama. Born in Hybart, AL in 1946, he attended public schools before graduating from Huntingdon College in 1969; graduating from University of Alabama School of Law in 1973, and being admitted to the Alabama bar in 1973. He practiced law in Russellville 1973-1975; served in the U.S. Army reserves and attaining the rank of captain 1973-1977; and was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama between 1981-1993. He also served as Alabama Attorney General between 1994-1996. In 1996, he was elected to the United States Senate.

He served as the 84th United States Attorney General from 2017 to 2018.
