Mark Udall was a Senator and a Representative from Colorado. Born in Tucson, AZ, he earned his B.A. from Williams College in 1972 and was field coordinator for Morris K. Udall for President, 1974. He was executive director, Colorado Outward Bound School, from 1985-1995 and a member of the Colorado state house of representatives from 1996-1998. He was elected to the 106th and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1999-January 3, 2009). He did not run for reelection to the House of Representatives but was elected to the United States Senate in 2008. He served from January 3, 2009, to January 3, 2015 and ran unsuccessfully for reelection in 2014.
