Biography

Martin Heinrich is a Senator from New Mexico. Born in Fallon, NV, in 1971, he earned his B. S. from the University of Missouri in 1995 and attended University of New Mexico from 2001-2002. He has been an engineer and business owner as well as a member of the Albuquerque city council from 2003-2007, serving as president from 2005-2006. He was also a trustee, New Mexico state natural resources, in 2006. He was elected to the 111th and succeeding Congress (January 3, 2009-January 3, 2013). He was elected to the United States Senate in 2012.
