Sherrod Brown is a Senator from Ohio. Born in Mansfield, OH, in 1952, he earned his B.A. from Yale University in 1974 and his M.A. from Ohio State University in 1981. He served as a member of the faculty at Ohio State University from 1979-1981; and a member of the Ohio State house of representatives from 1975-1982. He was Ohio secretary of state from 1983-1991, and elected to the 103rd and to the six succeeding Congresses. He was elected to the United States Senate in 2006.
