Biography

Todd Young is a politician from Indiana. He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1972.

He received his B.S. from the United States Naval Academy in 1995, his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 2000, his M.A. from the University of London in 2001, and his J.D. from Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2006.

He was in the United States Navy from 1990-1991, the United States Marine Corps from 1995-2000, served as a staffer for United States Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana from 2001-2003 and was the Orange County, Indiana deputy prosecutor from 2007-2010.

He also served as a consultant and private practice lawyer.

He was elected as a Republican to the 112th and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2017) and was not a candidate for reelection to the House of Representatives but was elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 2016 for the term ending January 3, 2023.
