Anthony D. Weiner is a Representative from New York. Born in New York City, N.Y. in 1964, he earned his B.A. from State University of New York in 1985. He was staff for United States Representative Charles Schumer of New York from 1985-1991 and a member of the New York, N.Y. city council from 1992-1998. He was an unsuccessful candidate for mayor of New York City in 2005 before being elected as a Democrat to the 106th and to the six succeeding Congresses until his resignation on June 21, 2011 (January 3, 1999-June 21, 2011).
