Robert Dold was a Representative from Illinois. He was born in Evanston, Illinois on June 23, 1969.
He received his B.A. from Denison University in 1991, his J.D. from Indiana University in 1996, and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management in 2000.
He was a business owner before serving as a staffer to United States Vice President James Danforth Quayle from 1991-1993. He also served as a staffer to the United States House of Representatives Committee on Reform and Oversight from 1997-1999.
He was elected as a Republican to the 112th Congress (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2013).
He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the 113th Congress in 2012 but was elected as a Republican to the 114th Congress (January 3, 2015-January 3, 2017).
