John Bradley Ashford was a Representative from Nebraska. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 10, 1949.
He received his B.A. from Colgate University in 1971, and his J.D. from Creighton University in 1974. He served on the staff of United States Senator Roman Hruska of Nebraska.
He worked as a lawyer, business executive, and was an attorney for the Federal Highway Administration from 1974-1975.
He was a judge for the Nebraska court of industrial relations from 1984-1986, and was a
member of the Nebraska state legislature from 1987-1994.
He was the chief executive officer for the Omaha housing authority from 1998-2003 before becoming a member of the Nebraska state legislature from 2006-2014.
He was elected as a Democrat to the 114th Congress (January 3, 2015-January 3, 2017).
