Charles W. Dent is a Representative from Pennsylvania. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1960, he earned his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 1982, and his M.P.A. from Lehigh University in 1993. He was staff for United States Representative Donald Ritter of Pennsylvania, a college administrator, a sales representative, hotel clerk, a member of the Pennsylvania state house of representatives from 1991-1998, and a member of the Pennsylvania state senate from 1999-2004. He was elected as a Republican to the 109th and to the six succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2005-present).
He previously served as the chair of the Committee on Ethics (114th Congress).
