Jefferson B. (Jeff) Miller was a Representative from Florida. Born in Pinellas County, FL, in 1959, he earned his B.A. from the University of Florida in 1984. He was a real estate broker and sheriff's deputy in Gilchrist County, FL. He was a member of the Florida state house of representatives from 1998-2001.
He was elected to the 107th Congress in a special election to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Representative Joe Scarborough. He was reelected to the seven succeeding Congresses before retiring in 2016. He chaired the Committee on Veterans Affairs (112th through 114th Congresses).
