Joe Heck is a Representative from Nevada. He was born in Jamaica, N.Y. on October 30, 1961.
He received his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1984, and his M.S.S. from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1988.
He was a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1991-present. He worked as a physician, business owner, and faculty at Touro University, Community College of Southern Nevada, and the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He also taught at the Uniformed Services University from 1998-2003.
He was a member of the Nevada state senate from 2004-2008 before being elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-present).
