Mary Gay Scanlon is a Representative from Pennsylvania. Born in Watertown, NY, in 1959, she earned her B.A. from Colgate University in 1980 and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. She was a private practice lawyer and judicial law clerk for the superior court of Pennsylvania. She was elected simultaneously to the 115th and the 116th Congresses by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Patrick Meehan.
