Veronica Escobar is a Representative from Texas. Born in El Paso, TX, she earned her B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1991 and her M.A. from New York University in 1993. She was a college professor, nonprofit executive, and communications director for the Mayor of El Paso, TX. She served as an El Paso County commissioner from 2006-2010 and as El Paso County judge from 2011-2017 before being elected to the 116th Congress (January 3, 2019-present).
