Thomas Jonathan (Jon) Ossoff, a Senator from Georgia was born in Atlanta on February 16, 1987 and graduated from The Paideia School in 2005. He earned his B.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2009 and his M.S. from the London School of Economics in 2013. An intern in the office of Georgia Representative John Lewis in 2004, he served as legislative assistant for foreign affairs and defense policy to Georgia Representative Hank Johnson from 2007-2012, as well as an investigative journalist, producer, and CEO of Insight TWI Ltd. He was elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in the January 5, 2021, general election runoff for the term ending January 3, 2027 and took the oath of office on January 20, 2021.
