Kevin Cramer is a Representative from North Dakota. Born in Rolla, North Dakota in 1961, he earned his B.A. from Concordia College in 1983 and his M.A. from the University of Mary in 2003. He served as the chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party from 1991-1993, the North Dakota state tourism director from 1993-1997, and ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 1996. He also served as the North Dakota state economic development and finance director from 1997-2000, ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 1998, and served as the North Dakota public service commissioner from 2003-2012. He was elected as a Republican to the 113th and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-present).
