Sponsor: Rep. Jason Chaffetz — R — UT

H.R. 1387 would authorize the appropriation of $60 million annually through fiscal year 2022, and would direct the funds to be divided equally for the following three purposes: -To provide scholarships for private-school tuition to parents of students who reside in the District of Columbia and to meet certain criteria under the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program; -To improve public education in the District of Columbia; and -To improve and expand quality public charter schools in the District of Columbia.
