To direct the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on disability and pension benefits provided to members of the National Guard and members of reserve components of the Armed Forces by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep. Ro Khanna — D — CA

Requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to study veterans’ disability compensation and pension benefits provided to members of the National Guard and reserve components of the U.S. Armed Forces between 2008 and 2018. That study would include a comparison of such benefits received by veterans who served in the reserve components and veterans who served in the regular component. A preliminary report would be due to the Congress within 18 months of the bill’s enactment, and the final report would be due within 36 months of enactment.
