To provide for a comprehensive interdisciplinary research, development, and demonstration initiative to strengthen the capacity of the energy sector to prepare for and withstand cyber and physical attacks, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep. Ami Bera — D — CA

Requires the Department of Energy to administer several grant programs to advance cybersecurity, physical security, resilience, and emergency response efforts across the energy sector. The bill would authorize the appropriation of specific amounts for those purposes for each year from 2021 through 2025.
