A bill to direct the Federal Communications Commission to evaluate and consider the impact of the telecommunications network equipment supply chain on the deployment of universal service, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Sen. John Hickenlooper — D — CO

Requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to determine each year (subject to available data) whether the lack of network equipment significantly impacted the deployment of broadband and other advanced telecommunications capability. The FCC must include this determination in its annual inquiry concerning the availability of advanced telecommunications capability.
