A bill to authorize the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to pay stipends to members of Transnational Criminal Investigative Units who have been properly vetted.

Sponsor: Sen. Robert Portman — R — OH

Authorizes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to operate Transnational Criminal Investigative Units (TCIUs)—teams of foreign law enforcement officials working with ICE to investigate and prosecute individuals involved in transnational criminal activity. The bill also authorizes ICE to pay stipends to TCIU members.
