Sponsor: Sen. Robert Portman — R — OH

Requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to work with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop a system for effectively sharing and reporting data between the information management systems for each department’s homelessness program. The bill also requires VA to provide information on ways to coordinate assistance to homeless veterans to its medical and homelessness assistance staff. That information would also describe ways to collaborate with HUD and community organizations.
