Debbie Lesko was born in 1958 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. A business owner, she was a member of the Arizona state house of representatives from 2008-2014 and served as majority whip. A member of the Arizona state senate from 2015-2018, she was president pro tempore from 2017-2018. Debbie was elected as a Republican, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Trent Franks (April 24, 2018-present).
