Leonard Lance is a Representative from New Jersey. He was born in Easton, Pennsylvania on June 25, 1952.
He received his B.A. from Lehigh University in 1974, his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1977, and his M.P.A. from Princeton University in 1982.
He worked as a judicial clerk, and became a member of the New Jersey state general assembly from 1991-2002, before becoming a member of the New Jersey state senate from 2002-2009.
During this time he was minority leader of the New Jersey state senate from 2004-2008.
He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eleventh and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2009-present).
