Stacey E. Plaskett is a Delegate from the Virgin Islands. Born in New York, New York in 1964, she earned her B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University in 1988 and her J.D. from American University in 1994. She worked as a private practice lawyer, professional advocate, prosecutor, staff for Delegate Ron de Lugo of the Virgin Islands, staff for House Committee on Ethics, staff for the United States Department of Justice from 2002-2004, general counsel for Virgin Islands economic development authority from 2007-2014, and was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States House of Representatives in 2012. She was elected as a Democrat to the 114th and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2015-present).
