Xochitl Torres Small is a Representative from New Mexico. Born in Portland, OR, she graduated from Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa, Eswatini (then Swaziland) in 2003, earned her B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University in 2007, and earned her J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 2015. She was a private practice lawyer and a law clerk for the federal district court of NM from 2015-2016. She worked on staff for Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico from 2009-2012 and was elected to the 116th Congress (January 3, 2019-present).
